  1. Kalamaja was a hit for us!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Kalamaja! The house is lovely, the views are unbelievable and we loved the easy access to the state and county parks.

  2. Sunrise Over the Lake

We have been coming to Kalamaja for years now with our children and grandchildren. We all love it and know it just wouldn’t be a summer vacation without it. The rustic beauty of the large log cabin
remind you of times long ago yet with all of the comforts and convenients of now. The large kitchen and dining area look out over the lake and in the morning watching the sun peek over the lake is an unforgettable experience.

  3. Kalamajo

Quiet and somewhat private. Great place to sit and watch the sunrise by the lake. Nice firepit for the evening fire.
Plenty of room inside to relax. Two bathrooms a definite plus. Large kitchen for cooking. Easy to find.

  4. If you are OK with rustic, this place is great.

As long as you are in the right frame of mind, you’ll probably love this place. Great location. Sitting by the fire at night and listening to waves crashing is tough to beat. Beds are super comfortable. Really good wi-fi for Door County. Allows dogs. But the description does not lie: it’s rustic. The shower is *super* tiny and the water pressure is low. The kitchen is a classic old cabin kitchen. If you are used to luxury accommodations you will want to stay elsewhere.

  5. Kalamaja Was Awesome

We just returned from our stay at Kalamaja and had a great time! You cannot beat the location, next to Cave Point and Whitefish Dunes State Park. Early morning sunrise with a coffee were amazing, bon fires at night listening to the waves was awesome and so relaxing. Inside there was plenty of room for everyone, outside deck and picnic table/ Seating was great for meals outside to enjoy the weather. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
